Last month my wife, Tracey T. Carter and I celebrated 26 years of being married. It dawned on me that by getting married at the ripe old age of 23, that I have been married longer than I had been single. I must say that I have truly enjoyed being married to Tracey and I wouldn’t change our journey for anything in the world. I truly believe that most (not all) couples that go through a divorce, throw in the towel too soon. Yes, there will be speed bumps along the way, but they are there to remind you to slow down so you won’t tear up your marriage. Married couples, stop confusing a speed bump with a dead end street! Slow down and remember your vows, commitment and covenant. The “JOY” is in the JOurneY! You can’t spell journey with the word “JOY”. Look for the joy in your journey and stay committed to each other. I truly believe the best is yet to come. You have to believe it too. Now get to work on your marriage!
